1. Provides programming support for machining parts, tools, or sheet metal on numerically controlled machine tools by writing complex programs of machine instructions in symbolic language to encode numerical control tape or direct numerical control database to regulate movement of machine along cutting path. Changes, updates and/or initiates manufacturing processes.

2. Safely and economically produces a part to the manufacturing engineering specification or drawing by selecting proper cutting tools for each part, taking into consideration such factors as speeds, types of cutters, feeds, and control system limitations.

3. Selects program routines for the most efficient computer calculation of dimensional and machining requirements for each part buy computing angular and linear dimensions, radii, and curvatures, and outlining sequence of operations required to machine the part.

**ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT & ROLE:**

If your niche is in financial reporting and analysis, underwriting, cash management or audit, our Finance department may be a perfect fit for you. This role supports various areas of Express Scripts by developing, maintaining, and enhancing models used in the underwriting process. These models are primarily Excel-based tools that interact with a number of other applications (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop, Python).

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

+ Work on enhancement requests and complete all stages of the life cycle (e.g. design, development, testing, release)

+ Work with Underwriting, Supply Chain, Budget, and other Finance departments to identify opportunities for model enhancements in an effort to improve the accuracy of Express Scripts’ profitability forecasting and user experience

+ Perform extensive testing prior to releasing new functionality into production. This testing includes code review, UAT, and Regression testing

+ Provide support to our end-users by resolving their issues, responding to queries, and helping them analyze/interpret the results from the models

+ Develop an expert knowledge of the primary tools & applications used within the FMA team

+ Provide training to the pricing group around SOPs and best-practices for using the FMA’s tools and applications

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

+ Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and VBA development

+ SQL and experience with relational databases (Oracle, TD, PostgreSQL and Hadoop preferred)

+ Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience

+ 4+ years of relevant experience; Finance, Underwriting, Pricing, Analytics, or similar field preferred

+ Ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems

Based in Pasadena TX, You will be responsible for manufacturing proprietary machined valve components used in a variety of industries, such O&G, petro-chem, power and even aviation/aerospace. With your CNC programming/machining skills, you will be producing both internal and external new valve parts to very close tolerances from a variety of material types (carbon steel, 300/400 series SS, high-nickel alloys, etc.) using CNC lathes and CNC mills.

In addition to machining new valve parts, you will also be an integral contributor to our professional service team, which is responsible for making repairs to existing valves and valve components.

**In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**

+ Be responsible for personal safety and for the safety of others. Must maintain excellent housekeeping standards.

+ Set-up, indicate, and machine raw material (bar stock, forgings, and castings) to manufacture Fisher parts to OEM print dimensions.

+ Develop and edit CNC programs using G-code and other programming languages.

+ Verify program accuracy and troubleshoot any programming issues.

+ Cross-train on all machines to prevent lapse in production flow including but not limited to engine lathes, manual drills, horizontal bandsaws, CNC lathes, VTLs, HBMs, and CNC mills.

+ Must understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques.

+ Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) per part drawings.
