Network Administrator

Visit Phoenix is looking for a Network Administrator to join our team. The purpose of this role is to ensure the stable operation of the computer networks and security solutions. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links.

The Network Administrator will work closely with all departments and team members to meet technological needs and efficiently manage system changes or updates. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and system security and be able to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.

Who is Visit Phoenix? We are a non-profit organization that promotes the Greater Phoenix community to a global audience of travelers. We book conventions at the Phoenix Convention Center, area resorts & hotels and provide research for the benefit of our members.

Key Responsibilities:

· Ensure user satisfaction and provide professional user support through communicating via various channels— (in-person, email, Teams, phone calls, or other available channels).

· Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including routing, switching, and connectivity problems.

· Assist and support users with email, network, remote access, and other critical resources, i.e. Microsoft 365 programs, including firewalls, Access Points, Active Directory, Azure, VPNs, and access controls.

· Manage the day-to-day IT infrastructure for optimal performance and security. Perform IT system upgrades and implementations to drive business improvements.

· Organizes training programs and prepares checklists and processes for the help desk.

· Create and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, equipment inventory, and configurations.

· Set up PCs for new hires, create user ID profiles, email accounts, and new hire onboarding IT training.

· Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to make recommendations for network improvements.

· SaaS, VPM, BGP, LAN, DNS, Active Directory, Cvent, ISP, Simpleview, Adobe Sign, AI

· Manage communication systems to ensure seamless and effective internal collaboration.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in a related field of Information Technology or equivalent experience.

· 5-7 years' experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory. TCP/IP, firewalls, routers, switches, hubs, and general network/workstation troubleshooting, including Ethernet and Wi-Fi.

· Troubleshooting level knowledge of Microsoft 365 environment and applications.

· Troubleshooting level expertise in Cisco Meraki networks or equivalent platforms.

· Self-motivated and independent worker with a strong team orientation.

· Demonstrated experience in evaluating and acquiring IT products.

· Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

· Attention to detail, patience, strong customer service skills, enthusiasm, teamwork skills, Initiative, and problem-solving skills.

· Hospitality experience is a plus.
